At Padgate Methodist Church, we commit ourselves to loving and serving God through our actions for the community and wider world.

We warmly welcome everyone to the worship and fellowship of this church.

We have a 'Positive Thoughts' page dedicated to poems, passages, cheerful images etc, to uplift the soul in this difficult and unprecedented time... this will be regularly updated so please visit it often...

Anything related to Worship at Padgate (i.e transcripts and videos from Rev'd Mark Coles, Deacon Helens thoughts, etc) can be found on our Preaching Plan & Worship page.

Important Information

The Methodist Church has issued an update of the Covid-19 virus and has made further recommendations which we are following.

All worship services in the church building are suspended until further notice, however technology allows us to worship remotely:

  • Our facebook page @Padgate Methodist Church  will keep you up to date and our facebook group page also has videos posted by our own Rev'd Mark Coles. Transcripts of these videos and readings are available on our preaching plan page.
  • Deacon Helen Coleman is hosting a Zoom virtual chat room every Wednesday 2-4pm, just bring your own coffee & cake. The log in details can be provided by Helen or are on her updates if you are on the email distribution list.
  • The methodist website https://www.methodist.org.uk/ has links to service sheets, hymms (with youtube links) readings etc. A featured video which is a prayer and a featured podcast about the coronavirus as well as lots of other information.
  • The Methodist Church Website also has a link to live streamed services.
  • Culcheth Methodist Church has a facebook group (you will need to request to join this).
  • Rev'd Linda Bishop has set up a facebook group - Warrington Methodist Worship - it includes daily readings, prayers, music, reflections.
  • The circuit also has a facebook group.
(please note you will need to request access to the above facebook groups and if wanting to join a Sunday sermon, it is advisable to do this beforehand)

The church building is now closed therefore all church activities and groups are cancelled and the coffee shop is closed.

Please heed the national advice and take care of your own health and of others around you who may need support in various ways over the coming weeks.

Stay safe, stay home and God Bless.
