We are hosting a knitted bible display, from 9th October - 14th October in the Wesley Hall. Schools and community groups will be invited, along with the church family and friends. It will be set up by the Salvation Army and consists bible stories told through knitted figures and displays. People who have seen it say it is fantastic.
As it will be held in the Wesley Hall there will be some disruption to the groups who usually use this room, for which we apologise.
There will be refreshments available whenever the exhibition is open. We are hoping to open 9.30-12.00 (for schools), 14.00-20.00 for church folk, our community, the circuit, groups who use the church. churches together etc. Saturday will be 10.00-16.00. We are also hoping to have musical events going on in church in the evenings.
This is a major undertaking for us and we will need lots of helpers for refreshments, stewarding and publicity.
'Deeper' – is a new Bible study group meeting each Thursday afternoon from 2.00 - 3.30pm. We take a deeper look at the Scriptures that have been used in the morning service the previous Sunday. It is not a place for analysing the service, but rather for discussing Scripture and delving that little bit deeper into it together. All are welcome.
Prayer Walking continues on Mondays, meeting in the church car park at 2pm - all are welcome to join us and wander the area praying for the things that God brings to our attention.
NOOMA is a series of short films that explore our world from a perspective of Jesus and narrated by Rob Bell. They typically examine a common situation and explain the Christian perspective. Rob Bell is a Christian author, motivational speaker and former Pastor of the Mars Hill Bible Church in Michigan, USA. The videos are followed by a short discussion amongst participants on how the situation portrayed in the video relates to personal lives and experiences.
It will be held on the third Sunday evening of each month, commencing at 7:00 pm. Next session Sunday 15th July 2018.
