Be My Guest Weekend
On Saturday June 16th, we are hoping to hold a free BBQ for all church family members, with the hope that you will bring along a guest. We aim to start around 3pm and finish by 6.30pm, in time for Saturday Club commences. If the weather is good, we will be outside on the grass in front of church in the sun. The following day will be a cafe style service that will be guest friendly
We are hoping to host a knitted bible display, starting 9th October. Schools and community groups will be invited, along with the church family and friends. It will be set up by the Salvation Army and consists bible stories told through knitted figures and displays. People who have seen it say it is fantastic. Drinks and biscuits will be available when the church is open.
'Deeper' – is a new Bible study group meeting each Thursday afternoon from 2.00 - 3.30pm. We take a deeper look at the Scriptures that have been used in the morning service the previous Sunday. It is not a place for analysing the service, but rather for discussing Scripture and delving that little bit deeper into it together. All are welcome.
Prayer Walking continues on Mondays, meeting in the church car park at 2pm - all are welcome to join us and wander the area praying for the things that God brings to our attention.
NOOMA is a series of short films that explore our world from a perspective of Jesus and narrated by Rob Bell. They typically examine a common situation and explain the Christian perspective. Rob Bell is a Christian author, motivational speaker and former Pastor of the Mars Hill Bible Church in Michigan, USA. The videos are followed by a short discussion amongst participants on how the situation portrayed in the video relates to personal lives and experiences.
It will be held on the third Sunday evening of each month, commencing at 7:00 pm. Next session Sunday 15th April 2018.
